WELCOME TO OUR BRAND NEW BLOG!

The other day I stopped in front of a Bloomingdale’s and I watched a young woman change the window display from Mother’s Day to Father’s Day and this thought occurred to me, “What about the rest of them. The women for whom Mother’s Day is still not their holiday and the men for whom Father’s Day feels like a long shot, if not an impossibility.”
It is the not-yet-mothers and not-yet-fathers who I want to talk to as we launch this blog. I’d like to tell you of an experience our team had last month. We were all part of a Walk at Jones Beach to raise funds for the new Katz Women’s Hospital, which is currently being built at both North Shore and LIJ campuses. A woman approached our team, recognizing us through our T-Shirts that bore the title “The Reproducers” and told us that her son is now a twenty-year-old college student and was the result of treatment at our Center. Twenty years ago her son was no more than an embryo, the size of a dot of dust in a petri dish, twenty Mother’s Days later he is ready to start his adult life!
The rapid development of new and exciting fertility treatments has allowed our Center to be involved in the birth of more than 20,000 babies. We have grown with the field, encompassing every cutting edge technology. Under one roof we offer you, the yet-to- become-mother and not-yet-a-father, the entire range of fertility treatments. One of the technologies we have to offer will likely be suitable to successfully treat your specific situation. There are now solutions for the most extreme situations: women who run out of eggs; men with no sperm; men and women with newly discovered cancer; couples with genetic conditions who want to avoid passing on that condition to their offspring.
The first step is to make a call.  Take the initiative, be proactive and maybe next year you too will celebrate Mother’s Day or Father’s Day.

Congrats on the new blog. This past Father’s Day we went to a diner for breakfast and someone wished my hubby a happy one. Broke his heart. But in less than a few hours, you can be changing all that for us. Embryo tranfer day. Fingers crossed. Thanks for all you do and for how great your entire office staff has been to us. To everyone out there, best of luck. Miracles are made at this center every day.

THANKS TO ALL OF THE DOCTORS AND STAFF!!!!!

Walking into Dr Hershlag’s office for the 1st time (after years of trying to concieve on my own) was humbling to say the least. However,I walked out of that same office with a sense that I could conquor the WORLD with his help.
Had it not been for Dr H, & his incredible staff, I would not be writing this as a Mom to a gorgeous 3 1/2 year old daughter & just as gorgeous 22 month old identical twin boys! He made ALL of my dreams come true & I will be forever grateful for his kindness, & understanding. God gave him an amazing gift & he used that very gift to help us create our family.

Dr H, we love you forever!
