Mary E. Rausch, M.D. is the Director of the Preimplantation Genetic Diagnosis and Fertility Preservation Programs. Additionally, Dr. Rausch specializes in polycystic ovary syndrome and ectopic pregnancy.
After receiving her undergraduate degree from Brown University and her medical degree from Columbia University, Dr. Rausch completed her residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology at New York Presbyterian Hospital/Columbia Presbyterian Medical Center. Following her residency, Dr. Rausch went on to receive her fellowship in Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility at the University of Pennsylvania.
Dr. Rausch is the recipient of numerous awards including the Resident Research Award at Columbia Presbyterian Medical Center and the Society for Gynecologic Investigation President’s Presenter Award. Dr. Rausch is a member of several professional societies, including the American Society of Reproductive Medicine, Society for Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility, The Endocrine Society, and American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists.
In addition to seeing patients in our main Manhasset office, Dr. Rausch also sees patients for consultations, evaluations and monitoring at our offices in Forest Hills and in Huntington Hospital. Dr. Mary Rausch presented a revolutionary study from her team at the University of Pennsylvania on the development of a new test to diagnose ectopic pregnancy at this year's American Society of Reproductive Medicine's (ASRM) Annual Meeting. In preliminary studies, the blood test was 99% accurate at differentiating ectopic from normal pregnancies. While further research is needed, potentially a same-day test could be available within two to five years. Earlier diagnosis of ectopic pregnancy can save lives.
